McKinley Theme

Although the McKinley theme states it’s “responsive” it’s not passing Google’s new Mobile Friendly testing tool. Does anyone have suggestions, or ideas as to why my site isn’t passing? Thank you.

Have you enabled the Mobile theme here > Appearance > Mobile?
The mobile ready theme is a default and a completely different theme that you do not need to enable at all.
A responsive layout theme adapts to different screen sizes so that your website will work (and be optimized for) iPhones, iPads, Android and other mobile devices. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.
As I said above the mobile theme is a completely different theme. When we use a responsive theme we disable the mobile theme. Go to > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

Thank you for your response. I did enable the mobile theme >Appearance>Mobile – and I also disabled it – neither way worked.
I’m just going to change the theme. Thanks.

Thank you very much. That worked.
I purposely chose 1. Just starting this website, waiting on others to review, etc. I didn’t think that would have anything to do with a mobile-friendly ranking. Learned something.
Great information from you. Thank you again.
