meaning of number of views from the author

Hello. I have not been active in blogging for about one and a half years now, as my physical health has not been well. I do, however, take the time to peek at my blog sites at least three times a week and I notice that at the Stats page, at the bottom part, there is the report of figures: number of views from the author. Normally, I see high numbers there when ordinarily, I view my site once in a day only. Or, on certain days, maybe twice… But not as frequently as reported in the views from the author. For example, on June 1, 2016, it says there – 38 views from the author. I only viewed or visited my site once on the said date. The same for the succeeding days – I viewed the site once (or not even) and yet the figures said that the views from the author to be 42, 45, etc. What could be the explanation for this? Does it mean other people or other bloggers are able to access or use my account, pretending to be me? Or, is this happening something I should ignore? I will appreciate it, if you could explain or illuminate this scenario which at the moment, confuses and somehow, bothers me. Thank you very much.

Btw, I will write you/your office, as well, from my other site, to inquire on the same matter. Thanks again.
