Meaning of Slug on Posts Quick Edit?

  What is the meaning of the field named “Slug” on the Quick Edit form for Posts?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I had searched slug previously but I should have dug deeper sorry.

  When I go to the full Edit forum for Posts, I can “Edit” the URL. Is that Edit string identical to the Slug?
