Means to promote following my blog

  Dear WordPress support team,

  For my website: http://www.marketingactivatie.nl, I would like to maximize followers. I know this is first achieved by creating relevant and good content, and I intent to do so :-).

  Still, I would like to know if it’s possible to create a pop-up which, well, pops up at the homepage to promote following the blog.

  And furthermore: is there a way to post a PDF which can be downloaded after leaving your e-mail adress?

  Popups cannot be used on WordPress.com sites. However, you can add a follow widget to your sidebar, if you’d like!

  My suggestion is to upload a PDF, and install it on a page, and save it.

  Then, you can create a custom message for those who subscribe to your site:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/reading-settings/#follower-settings

  In that automatic message, you can include a link to download the page that contains the PDF. People can choose to download that document once they’re linked to the PDF page.
