  yea I dont want that because it effects the desktop version I need just to edit the mobile and ipad versions.

  You could use media queries to apply your changes only to desktop sizes, that way the elements would resize themselves to fit the smaller screens following the original theme styling rules.

  CSS Tricks has a good list here showing common screen sizes for different handheld devices. Seeing as your theme uses percentages to size most elements you can pick pretty much whatever you like/looks good!
