media attachments to my page suddenly behaving differently

  Hi. Week after week I put my audio Bible lessons on a page. While in Edit mode; I see all my previous audio recordings right where they’re supposed to be. I go through the same routine again for the 50th time, but this time, after uploading my mp3 file to the media library, selecting it in the “add media” screen, the result is now different somehow.

  Instead of depositing a tidy url hot link like usual, now it deposits this exact text, with no link:
  [audio http://brianlineberry.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/the-bible-20130728.mp3%5D.

  To be consistent with the dozens of previous media links in this page, it should look like this:

  “the bible 20130721” except for quotations marks, and it would all be a blue hot link to the media file.

  I have tried as many ways as I can think of to attach this media file to my page; always the same result. I don’t know why this started happening

  I hope someone can tell me what I am doing wrong. (I have a screen shot but don’t see a way to attach it here)
