Media Export – Where is this option?

    Hello,

    I know there was a feature to download all the media uploaded on our blog.
    However, I didn’t find this option anymore.

    I generated xml backup but I have no option for medias (in Tools or Medias menu).

    Can you tell me how I can do this?

    Ok, in fact the issue is linked to the Dashboard appearance. If you enable the wp-admin page then this option is missing…

    So get this menu, the idea is to deativate it, download the archive and then activate it again.

    It would be nice to have this menu in all menus.

    Thanks for this feedback.

    To give a bit of context, the media library export is a unique feature we developed on WordPress.com, and when we still had two separate interfaces it only existed in the WordPress.com/My Sites interface. It has never existing in WP-Admin, which is the default interface for the WordPress software.

    But I agree it’s confusing and not ideal for the option to be missing from the latter, especially now that we have only one menu for both interfaces.

    I’ve shared your feedback with our developers, so this is something they can look at as we iterate on this.
