Media files suddenly not showing in library and cannot load into post

Just uploaded new media but cannot see any (old and new) photos in Media library (yet the percentage space usage has changed) and trying to insert any media into a post is not working either. Pressing Media or Library only returns a blank page with Media Library add new. And when selecting media button to add media into a post has no effect whatsoever. Help please!! We are working with wordpress.com from an iPad. Haven’t had any problems with this until now. Thanks.

Are you creating pages using the New Post button or the dashboard Posts->Add New page? I suggest using the latter. As well, try enabling the https version of your site; some people find that helps.

We are using dashboard>posts>add new page. But none of our media is showing, whether through the media button on the dashboard or, worse still, on our site!! Our site looks as if there are no photos (except those inside old posts)

Raincoaster, I’ve enabled the https but still no change, I still cannot see/retrieve any of my uploaded media. Thanks anyway for your help, much appreciated!

I’m wondering, given your location, if your ISP might be interfering. Can you try connecting via some other connection, like a university, a phone carrier, something like that?

Had been wondering about the ISP. Unfortunately, we only have access via hotel wi-fi (we are in Uzbekistan). The strange thing is that 1) the photos uploaded ok as the % space used increased 2) the photos inside blog posts are still visible 3) however, the same photos that are inside various posts are no longer visible in the photo gallery widget. The photo gallery appears to be completely empty – from where we are that is. Are they visible to you?! Appreciate your time & comments!

Yes, I see all the images in the gallery, though they take awhile to load.
You’re in Uzbekistan? A friend of mine was there and RAVED about the breakfasts. I envy you. Except I have better wifi in Canada.
