Media Function Won’t Work

I cannot add a picture or video from an URL or media library. It has worked for months but just quit yesterday. I am having to host pics on Flickr and hot link to them..

Well that sounds very frustrating. It could be a browser issue. Have your teied logging out of wordpress.com, clearing your browser cache and cookies and logging in again? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/
If that doesn’t work for you then please report it to Staff along with as many details as possible including which operating system and browser and version of it you are using and whether or not you have had a recent operating system, browser, and/or anti-virus security program update. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

I cleared my cookies and re-logged in. Still nothing. I have contacted Support. Waiting for answer.

I find that I am now unable to upload a picture from my computer. I get “10 Error” in RED.

It’s not uncommon to wait for 24 hours before getting a response on any support forum. Also bumping your own threads is not a good practice. Please be patient while waiting for Staff to reply to your support ticket. -
Several people are reporting similar issues. I have no doubt staff is aware and working on the problem.

I started a new blog as a test. I have the same problems there. The File Upload feature has begun to work again.

Not really. The media function still doesn’t work. I can upload pictures but I can’t post them.

Well as Staff have your support ticket filed yesterday at least you know your issue is in their queue to be dealt with.

Now I can’t even post a simple text message. When I try, all of the option buttons disappear.

When I place mu cursor in the message box, all of the option buttons except for the insert media buttons disappear.

They actually disappear one second after my Add New Post window opens, leaving only the Insert Media buttons… which won’t work.

I just went to my new blog… the one I am using as a test. I was actually able to make a post but I could not see what I was typing unless I left clicked and highlighted the text.
On both sites, when I click on New Post, they default to the HTML window. If I click on Visual, the Visual window disappears and goes to another window without option buttons. There I can highlight my text in order to read or edit it.
