Media images are missing

    I seem to have mistakenly deleted all media images on my website when editing them. How can I recover them? I haven’t logged out since this happened a few minutes ago.

    Hey there,

    Unfortunately there is no way of retrieving deleted media files directly from WordPress.com. You may be able to search for these images on Google referencing your websites URL like this as they may have been indexed and if so, will still be available for downloading directly from the search results and re-uploading to your media library.

    codekmyta – That’s great advice. Thanks for helping us out here. If the originals are still available you can simply add them to your media library again.

    They aren’t going to find their way back to where they were before though. You’ll need to update and customize pages and posts.
