  I can not find the ‘media’ icon to access my library. It’s gone, how do I get the aliens to bring it back?

  There are so many issues with the new “blue” navigation. I think it should be removed until it at least equals the good old version.
  Yes, our authors can no longer find the media library.
  From the main list I can select “admin” and then media appears.
  But my authors are still having difficulty because they don’t have the admin tab.
  (I used to select “menus” to get the media tab, but recently that doesn’t work either).
  I wonder what wordpress are doing with the new navigation – it is a mess.

  I have no new thread to start, I am just adding information to the question of @trplay. In fact @trplay there is a way without trying to find the media icon – use the “add media” symbol in the upper control bar when editing/crteaating a post or page; this gives access to the media library as well as allowing “add new media”. Seems like a direct icon for “media” in the left navigation has been eliminated – can someone at WP confirm that ?
