media library and EXPORT of blog as backup

  is the media library/pics jpgs and the like included in the Export/backup Process from within the dashboard ExPort feature?
  another words, the 210 photos/pics graphics I have in my 147 posts go WITH the export?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  The content of your media library will be copied when you import that export file into your blog.

  I am using the export JUST as a back up incase some unforeseen thing happens, which I am noted for, anyway
  do I understand you to say that the pics are in the exported file, but I will be asked to import them when I attempt to rebuild after a crash or catastrophe?

  Thank for your help, I love to blog w/Wordpress but it is not for the faint of heart or one who isn’t willing to LEARN a new language..
