media library and pictures in post

    i’m brand new. are the pictures in a post dependent on being also in the media library? or are they only needed in the media library until they are put in the post? ie is the space in the media library the total space you have for all uploaded pictures used on your blog?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    In order for your pictures to appear on posts, they must be in the media library. If you remove images from your library, then they will disappear from your posts.

    The space in your library equals the space you have available for all uploaded images.

    3 GB should allow you to upload thousands of pictures.
