media library “bulk attach”

I’m not wanting to complain, but surely there’s a place for suggestions and comments? I’m new to WP and looking at inserting galleries.
I get the idea that pics need to be attached first to any blog and just to save it is enough to get a gallery tab. I uploaded to my media library and now i have to attach every single file with many mouse clicks and time consumed because there’s no multiple file attach option! OK, I should just upload to a blog draft and it will make a gallery. So I selected all the files and clicked on attach for just one of them, and they are all now attached to my “test attach” draft page – only I don’t see them on that draft and also there is NO gallery tab in the insert window. So do I forget about using the media library??? thanksAlso the Gallery support page, point 3, says that you must select all the photos you want (how do you do that? clicking SHOW?) and then you are taken to the gallery tab, and i was not. ?? Something tells me its better to import photos from Picasa than all this.

OK, so i didn’t know you can only use the gallery on the SAME page as the attachments are. PHEW. finally.

Lectrozap, did you end up finding a better way to attach multiple files from your ‘library’ than doing it one at a time? I’m having the same problem, so I just quit uploading to my library and simply uploaded images with the flash uploader in ‘upload media.’
