Media Library corrupted
-
My media library is corrupted. Thumbnails are missing. When I click on default image I do not get the “real” image. Therefore that media is no longer available, like to edit.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you recently make any edits or adjustments to the images by chance (cropping or resizing)?
Unfortunately, the best solution here would be to re-upload the images, but I’m trying to isolate why this occurred so we can prevent it moving forward.

I uploaded goddelivers, jpg and then offline changed the image size and uploaded the same file name. The second file was renamed goddelivers1.jpg AND, I think, both files were unavailable for viewing or editing, etc. I have not been able to troubleshoot this further. I did notice that the problem occurs with JPGs and PNPs. I checked one or two files and they WERE still in the published post. Thanks for your help. Let me know if you have suggestions on trouble shooting further.

Just to confirm, this hasn’t happened with any recent media library items correct?
We’re troubleshooting an issue currently that breaks images uploaded to your Media Library when you adjust the size and then try to crop the image for instance. It appears as though two edits to a single image break the image. I’ll post to this forum when that’s resolved. For right now, the best solution is likely to re-upload the images. I’m sorry we don’t have a better solution yet!
