Media Library empty, but picture exists and is being consumed by text widget.
-
I’m new to wordpress and I would appreciate you help on this one! :)
My media files folder is empty. But a previously uploaded photo exists at URL : http://shasyas.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/me2.jpg and is being consumed but a text widget. It shows up as expected on my blog. I’m trying to figure out why the image does not show up in the media library?
At some point earlier today, I tried to re-size the image to a smaller size, did not like it and deleted it from the media library. I think that has led to this situation.
I’d appreciate pointers on fixing this. Thanks!

This sounds very odd. If I couldn’t see your image myself I’d say it was a browser issue. I’ll mark this for staff to look at. In the meantime another volunteer might be able to help.

Hey there,
Images uploaded via your blog’s “Media” section are cached for a short period of time. As you’ve deleted the image, it will cease to exist in the location you’ve indicated when the cache expires.
Best,
P.
