Media Library Folders
-
I looked up on Google, tried reviewing some of the many pages on the ‘Idea’ section, but I couldn’t find such a suggestion or such an already existing feature (or I am just blind) – so if I duplicate someone’s idea, I didn’t mean to.
I recently started using WordPress. I kinda preferred the /com instead of the /org because, duh, I am lazy to learn how to manage the site on my own. So I really do like how /com is managing these admin stuff for me (e.g. coding). Anyhow, I bought a domain – lovely thing. I enjoy my stay here and so on and so forth, however. I must say that for the almost two weeks I spent on WP, uploading regularly content…my media library is just a pure chaos, no, insanity. I don’t want to fill my space just because I gotta use some images regularly – meaning, I have to look for these specific images among other images if I don’t want to keep uploading them each time I need them, which I suppose would result with n-th time of same image. And I am only on (around) 100 images in my library – each time I have to look for an arrow.gif image..I just, no comment.
So, I understand that if I wanted something about that, I could’ve gone to /org and do my things myself. However, I made my choice with /com and I’d like to see at least a folder feature in media, so images could be classified and easily found by users. … Even a search bar would be nice in the media library (which is a pop-up window for the option to add image while typing the post. )
In case I am blind and I haven’t found some ‘trick’ about that, am I really all ears.

Hi V.,
When you open the Add Media module in a page or post editor, there is a search option which is activated by clicking on the search icon (magnifying glass) at the top right corner of the Add Media module. In my experience. this feature typically helps tremendously in limiting the number of images one has to look through to find a desired image in the library.
