Media library is not opening

  I cannot add photos to my post from my media library. The Media Library is not loading at all. Nothing happens when I click “add feature image” or “media library” when I try to add photo to an image block in the post.

  When the Media Library doesn’t open on WordPress.com, it’s usually a browser or editor issue, not missing files.

  Please try the following, in order:

  1. Hard refresh the editor (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R)
  2. Open the site in a different browser (or a private/incognito window)
  3. Disable browser extensions (especially ad-blockers, script blockers, privacy tools)
  4. Make sure you’re using the Block Editor, not an outdated cached session

  If the Media Library still doesn’t load, contact WordPress.com Support so they can check for an editor or account-level issue. The forums can’t access or reset the media uploader.
