Media Library problem (?)

When I try to build a new page, after having deleted images for good from Media Library, they still shows up on the new site. How to get rid of the images permanently?
WP.com: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, do they still appear if you log out, clear your browser cache and cookies and then log back in? https://wordpress.com/support/browser-issues/#clearing-word-press-com-cookies
If that doesn’t solve this issue for you, please post back here and let us know your computer operating system and the browser you’re using. https://supportdetails.com/

Hello again
I did try your first suggestion, but that didnt help.
The browser that I’m using is latest version of Firefox, the operating system is the fairly old Windows 8. But I’m not so sure that is the problem here (?)
Is it possible to “reset” my whole site without deleting the account (as I have experienced trouble getting a new account with same mail adress)? If so, wouldnt that take care of the whole problem?Regards Knut

Hello again, No need to create a new account. (You can’t create a new account with the same email address, but you can create a new site).
Have you tried changing themes to something else instead of Blank Canvas?
Let’s call in our forum staff to assist. Thanks for your patience.

Hi there!
I’m not showing any media in the media library for
knutrasmussenmalerier.wordpress.comand there’s no content on that site that I can see.If you’re still having this problem, please take a screenshot of the problem in question. If you’re not familiar with how to take a screenshot, this support document will help explain how to make one:
Then, use a service like Snipboard.io to upload the screenshot and then share the image link from that service here and we’ll take a closer look.
Thanks!

Sorry but I cant find a way to submit the screenshots (as you suggested)
But when I open up Editor and follow your suggestions there’s nothing here except the title (test). As expected.
Then I press the preview button and the pictures that I had deleted from Media Library appear. ….I don’t understand where the images come from, since I have deleted all the images from the Media Library as you also took notice of. Hope you have an answer to this; and that you can advise me on what to do.
Regards

Hello again, if you’ve already saved the screenshots on your computer, you can upload them to your site’s Media Library. Staff will be able to see them.

@knutrasmussenm, I still don’t see screenshots, but just to be clear, can you tell us what you see with each of these links?
https://wordpress.com/view/knutrasmussenmalerier.wordpress.com
https://wordpress.com/media
https://knutrasmussenmalerier.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.phpAnd,
Then I press the preview button and the pictures that I had deleted from Media Library appear
Would you confirm what preview button you are pressing, and send us the link to that preview page?
-
Here is the link to the preview page https://knutrasmussenmalerier.wordpress.com/test/?preview_id=215&preview_nonce=4ced2c15e1&preview=true
And I have uploaded a screenshot to the media library of one of the images that appears as stated earlier

Ahah, I see the issue. There is no image reference in your test page, but there were images added to the site’s theme through the Site Editor.
Each template that has been modified here has a dot next to it:
https://knutrasmussenmalerier.wordpress.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=gutenberg-edit-site&postType=wp_templateIf you’ll tap the menu next to that, you should have an option to revert your changes. I’d recommend that.
Also, the Blank Canvas theme can be a bit trickier if you’re just getting started. If you definitely want to build out your own theme with it, I’d recommend these resources on Full Site Editing:
https://wordpress.com/support/full-site-editing/Or you can switch to another theme.
Cheers!
