Media library to custom domain

Hi Guys,
When I upload pdfs and images to my media library, it continues to give them the wordpress.com URL. I would prefer that they had the URL of the domain name I purchased. Is this possible.
The website is http://journal.probeinternational.org
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The wordpress.com blog is the root blog which is being domain mapped to your domain. If you fail to renew your domain and domain mapping then the URL reverts to the wordpress.com blog. Can you expand on why you find this to be problematic?

Thanks for the quick response! Well, when it goes under the wordpress domain, then it doesn’t count towards our ranking. It would be better to have all the traffic running under one domain. Does that make sense. Sorry if it’s not clear.

I understand perfectly, and I’m sure WordPress does as well; that’s one reason they’ve got it set up this way!
I don’t believe this is an accident, and when I inquired about it a couple of years ago staff gave me the definite impression this was not going to change.

It is not an accident. The urls go to where the file actually is and that is the blog here.
I would not have thought that item urls count much toward ranking though.
