Media Library Widget

    I would like to have a widget that would allow the user to select a media item from the media gallery and display it on the sidebar with ability to also link those images to other pages. If this widget is not already made (which I have searched for and can’t seem to find), I would be willing to write it myself, and just don’t want to re-invent the wheel. Also, if you think it would be a good idea to create one, does anyone know if there are any ways to tie into the WordPress media library or does the ability to search through media need to be created in the widget as well.

    Please provide a link to your wordpress.COM blog when posting in the forums. We have no way of knowing whether you are hosted here. (Better: link your user name to your blog as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums.)

    If you are hosted here, take a look at the text widget. You can do pretty much anything you want with it.
