Media not working

  Clicking on media, then selecting a photo, then clicking thumbnail, the process goes to a white page and a yellow error sign on the bottom bar instead of ‘Done’. First the media wouldn’t even upload; then pictures came up with red x’s after trying again; then finally the white page after trying again. So, I cannot insert a thumbnail photo into a page or post.
