Media, Polls and Widgets

  As of yesterday, the media and poll buttons are not working on my posts and on my pages – whether I try to add them to existing, or to new pages and posts. I see a dotted line around the buttons when I click them, but nothing opens when I click on either of these buttons. I tried the Forms button, and this is working.

  As of yesterday, I can’t display my Sidebar 2 widgets.

  I think our blog may have been hacked. Last week I noticed that someone added a map to one of my existing pages. I deleted the map. As a future deterrent, I changed the passcode to get into our blog. I also disabled “post by email” as a futher protection.

  Can you help me to resolve our issues.

  Hi there,

  I want to assure you that the recent problems with the media and poll buttons are not due to your blog being hacked. If you’re using Internet Explorer 9, you may have experienced some problems managing your blog. Sorry about that! However, we fixed the issue that was causing problems.   If you believe that someone accessed your account without your permission, changing your password was definitely the right thing to do. If you’d like me to investigate further, please send me a link to the page where someone added the map and I can look into it for you.
