Media still showing on web 5 days after deleting

I deleted three PDFs from the media of our group’s WordPress site 5 days ago, but at least one of them is still showing on the web when the link is clicked.
I asked friends to check them (in case it was due to cookies/cached files on my laptop and phone) – one person said they could still access one of the documents but that the other 2 links were broken, and the other person said they could access 2 of the documents but not the 3rd.
It’s strange that there’s an inconsistency in which files they can both see, but in any case I’m wondering if some of the files have got caught in a cache somewhere? I’m sure things have disappeared from the web straightaway when I’ve deleted media in the past.
Two of the documents are about an event for which we’ve since had to change the date, so we don’t really want people to be able to access information giving the wrong date.

Hi @flacleeds, we have a CDN that serves up files for speed. Usually, anything you remove will disappear from the network within a few days, but if you’re still seeing them, can you send direct links to the files? We’ll clear them from this side.
If it makes you more comfortable, feel free to make a new draft post with links to the files. Call it Staff Help, then update us here confirming which site to check for drafts. Thanks!

After seeing your post, I cleared my cookies & browsing history etc. but I could/can still access the files via the links.
So I then asked another friend, who hasn’t clicked on the links or accessed the files before, and he says they are still showing for him too.
Seems strange that some people can see them and some can’t, but my knowledge of these kind of things is non-existent! -
I’ve just put those URLs through our cache clearer, so they should be totally gone within a few hours. Cheers!
