Media storage upgrade

    I only need more storage, I am at 100% of the 13kb I have. In the past I could add more for like $20. The plans I see now are very expensive and I don’t need all tgat they come with I simply need more media storage.

    Hi there!

    The 10 GB space upgrade that’s currently active on your site was phased out quite a while ago. You still have access to it because you have it on auto-renewal, so it renews automatically every year. But the standalone space upgrade is not available for purchase anymore.

    All free WordPress.com sites come with 1 GB of space for uploaded files and images. If you run out of space or would like to upload other types of files, such as audio or video, you might consider upgrading to a paid WordPress.com plan. Add Storage Space WordPress.com Free legacy (launched before 31 March 2021) includes 3 GB of storage. Free sites created after 31 March 2021 include 1 G

    Your immediate option may be to upgrade to the WordPress.com Premium plan, which would give you more storage to your site.

    So I’m sitting on 100% used of my 13GB that I have on a free plan. If I get the Premium plan it has 13GB so would I be getting 13 GB more? Does the 13GB start over every year or is that the max I’ll have for this blog? Also if I get the Premium plan now will I also still be able to get the additional 10 GB that auto-renews in August?

    Hi there, @legosandtutus!

    So long as you continue to renew and keep your 10GB storage upgrade subscription active, this will count in addition to the plan’s storage limit. That means you would get 13 GB from your WordPress.com Premium plan plus the 10 GB storage upgrade (a total of 23 GB of storage).
