  Hi. I have noticed that when I blog using my phone, the media is not displayed after I publish. Why is that so?

  Most recent scenario is the post I’m about to publish ie Oh Child.

  Hi, you’re right. I don’t see any media attached to https://theabnormalchristianhome.wordpress.com/2022/05/23/oh-child/ in any way.

  Which version of the app are you using, or are you using WordPress.com through your phone’s browser?

  If you’re using your phone’s browser, would you please let us know if there’s any difference under one of our apps? https://apps.wordpress.com/mobile/

  I don’t see an image on https://theabnormalchristianhome.wordpress.com/2022/05/23/oh-child/, but I do see an empty image block in the editor for that post, indicating you started the process of adding an image, but the image was never uploaded.

  I assume you’re using the mobile app, right?

  When you add images in the mobile app, they get uploaded asynchronously in the background. In other words, while the image might appear in your post in the editor in the app, the actual file is still in the process of being uploaded to our servers.

  I think what might be happening here is that you’re hitting Publish, or exiting the app, before the image file finishes uploading, and that that’s killing the process. Does that sound plausible to you?

  Next time you post, check if waiting a minute or two between adding the image and publishing/leaving the editor makes any difference.

  I have tried that as well but still no result. The only progress is that I can now see the image in my media library. When I re-attempt to add image it doesn’t come through.

  Do you mean waiting a while before publishing?

  Are you adding the image via the mobile app? And if you later edit the post in the mobile app, is the image there, or is it missing in the app as well?

  I wonder if there might not be a network issue that’s preventing the files from uploading. Can you check if restarting your phone makes any difference? Restarting flushes the phone’s connection cache, which can sometimes help resolve some app issues.
