Media upload problem
-
I’ve tried both the browser uploader and the add drop options to upload media files and each time (at least 10x) the file did not upload. What could be the problem? I have enough space and the file I’m uploading is less than 1GB what is the problem? Is there a time lapse between uploads and actually see it on the media page on WordPress? I’m using Chrome and it’s an updated version….
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I keep getting an error message re: error saving your attachment…I don’t understand what that means…and I’ve tried using other browsers…

Hello there, I am sorry to hear you’re encountering this problem. When you upload an image to your Media Library, you should see it immediately. There should be no lag time.
I do see some images that you’ve uploaded today. Has the issue resolved itself, or are you still struggling with uploads?
Are you seeing the same error message on all browsers? Chrome, Firefox, and Safari? Or are you seeing different errors?
Finally, could you please send me a screenshot of the error as you’re viewing it? I realize that you cannot load the image to your media library for me to see, so you can use the following link to create a free account and drag/drop your images(s). Just paste any applicable URLs here.

Hi Robyn,
The issue is not with images, it’s with mp3s.
I’ve been trying all afternoon to upload some mp3s into my blog but rather it was the old way or the (new) drop file way I keep getting this error – “error saving media attachment” not sure what’s going on there….When I try to upload with the ‘drop file’ option, and I get into my mp3 to upload, it’s not even available, it blanks out and I can’t select the mp3. And when I try the old way, I get that error message when I try to upload.
I’ve uploaded an image of my screen for you to view.
Any feedback on that would be appreciated, thanks much. -
Ah! Thanks for the explanation! This clears things up. In order to upload MP3s to the WordPress.com server, you do need the space upgrade. However, if you prefer not to upgrade, but still wish to play audio on your site, there are other options.
Please take a look at the choices you have in adding audition to your WordPress.com site:
If I can answer any other audio-related questions, please do let me know. Cheers.
