Are you using http:// or https:// ? -
As suggested from your list, I have already made that change too. Would any of this require me to re-boot? That I have not done.
-
I log-out and reboot after every change I make to my browser settings as that’s what’s recommended for all browsers.
-
Rebooted and same results. Everything in the Library works fine and I can post pictures from the computer. I just can not upload videos from the computer to the post or library.
-
I have done this many times without any problems until just recently when they changed to the one button for media.
-
timethief- thanks for your time and help. This is going no where fast and Support Staff remain on mute. I have a great deal of time, money and effort into this blog site but I may just have to move on. thanks again.

Have you tried disabling McAfee temporarily?
Do you have access to another computer? If so then please try using it and see what you experience.

Any news regarding updates?
It’s really bad how it works, and I am forced to use MarsEdit in order to be able to write.

I can’t upload videos any more. When pushing on “add video or sound” all the other buttons disappear. A read crossmark at the uploaded URL (all types of) and then nothing more to push. Please!

Hello there,
Will you please provide us with some details so we can try to help you?1. How are you connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with your ISP and/or with the proxy servers. It sounds like there could be a problem with your ISP. Can you access any of these directly?

Technology is not frozen in time. The fact you have not changed anything is irrelevant. The WordPress software is updated frequently. The operating system software is updated frequently too. The browser versions we use are upgraded frequently and usually automatically. The security programs we run are updated frequently. The way we choose to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com varies also. Internet Explorer 7 is no longer supported and has not been for some time now. this is what Staff had to say:
We fixed an issue with IE8 for internal linking. We are still working on issues with IE7. (But seriously, using outdated browsers is generally not a good idea. Update your browser!) http://en.blog.wordpress.com/2010/11/19/linking-sorting-paging/

I think your tone here is patronizing – I am not any expert on tecnics and computers. I have tried to upgrade to Explorer 9 but everything looked like a mess and I didn’t recognize anything so … I took it away ..
-
If you wish you can download Firefox 8. I have an old computer running Windows XP and I cannot upload IE9 but Firefox 8 it works well for me. Do note that if you wish you can always contact Staff directly.
