Media won’t show up on my page.

Hello all, sorry to have to resort to the forum to have my problem fixed.
I recently set up my own website via WordPress and I encountered a problem including media into a post. I tried uploading a picture as well as embedding a Vimeo video, but neither show up. However, text has shown up just fine. The media is visible when I “view post” (http://westernworldszine.com/?p=42) but not on http://westernworldszine.com/ or http://granneit.com/westernworldszine/. I’ve used several different methods, including:

“Upload/Insert” > Add an Image[vimeo "http://...."]
Vimeo embed codeWhat exactly am I doing wrong here?

This problem occurs when I use the theme Atahualpa, but not with Twenty Ten. I’d rather use Atahualpa because of the sheer level of customization.
