Medium import failed

  Hi! Trying to import a file with my medium posts into wordpress. Says something about gateway timeout. File is about 2.2MB but that shouldn’t be a problem, right?

  • Is the site you have the XML export file from still online?
  • If yes, what is the URL?
  • Did you remove advertising an un-approved comments before creating the XML export file?

  Sometimes the importer gets stuck. If the XML export file is large you may have to import Posts, Pages, etc. in separate files. Or if the XML export file is very large Staff may have to do the import.

  Hi there,

  Can you please unplug your modem/router for a few seconds to reset it, or try uploading the file using a different connection? It looks like the connection is getting interrupted while the file is uploading, causing it to fail.
