medium import is running VERY slow

  Started medium import over an hour ago, it’s still running.

  On your ‘how do i import my medium site’ resource, it shows a progress bar.

  I have no progress bar, just (for last 1hr): ‘Processing your file. Please wait a few moments.’

  The medium export file is ~80KB in size, containing ~40 posts.

  Can you tell me why it’s running so long, or how I could determine if something is wrong, or even how to stop the process so I could try it again? (when i close the tab and then go back, it’s still running with no option to stop/restart).

  I searching the forums I don’t see it processing forever (on 80kb file) with no errors as being a common problem, so added modlook tag.

  This operation is still running.

  I would like to cancel it, so these posts do not show up in the account?

  Hi –

  Thanks for writing to us. So, it can take up to 24 hours for the import to process. A file that size should be pretty quick though.
