Meebo is not working. Any other alternative?

  Since wordpress cannot support shoutbox, I have installed Meebo widget. The problem arised when the Meebo box indicates that I’m offline, when I am online. I cannot write in the box. Is there any other alternative?

  I thought that too but you have to be logged onto the actual Meebo website for it to show your online on your blog. Then when people talk to you, it flashes up on the meebo site aswell as the widget. Hope this helps
