Mega Menu deleted my blog!

    Hi,

I installed Mega Menu yesterday and also added my returns policy. It looked ok until today when I realised if I click on my blog, I get my returns policy. My returns policy tag works correctly. My question is – where is my blog? I have been writing my blog for a long time and do not have a copy.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there, it looks like your Blog page is still current and assigned as the page where your posts appear:

    https://familytreespro.co.uk/blog/

It looks like there’s a “Return and refund policy” blog post as the most recent post – could this be the the returns policy you’re seeing? It looks like it was published on 1st August 2023, but there’s another blog post titled “Wills and the rest” just below it. Here’s a screenshot the Blog page showing the entirety of the “Return and refund policy” blog post, and the first part of the “Wills and the rest” post:

I can see your returns policy is also set up as an individual page, which is also linked in the menu at the top of the site:

    https://familytreespro.co.uk/returns-policy/

Were you wanting to set the returns policy blog post back to draft status, so that you no longer see it on your Blog page? If so, you could do that by editing the post. We have a guide for blog post settings which may be handy in case of need too.

    Hi,

No, when I click on the blog tag I go to my return and refund page. My blog has gone even though the tag is still there. I want to know if I can get my blog back.

    Thank you

To ensure we’re all on the same page, let’s clarify what you mean by “tag.” In WordPress, a tag is used to categorize your content, but I don’t see any tags on your site at the moment. You can check this link: https://wordpress.com/settings/taxonomies/post_tag/familytreespro.co.uk

If you are referring to the “Blog” link in your site menu, it currently links to your blog page at https://familytreespro.co.uk/blog/. This blog page is set in the Settings -> Reading section and displays your site’s posts, with the newest post shown first. Right now, your newest post is titled “Return and refund policy,” which is what is displaying first on your blog page. If you scroll down, you’ll find your other posts listed below. All your posts can be seen in your posts list at https://wordpress.com/posts/familytreespro.co.uk

Additionally, there is a page in your pages list titled “Returns Policy” which you can see at https://wordpress.com/pages/familytreespro.co.uk. This page is also linked to in your site menu, as seen at the bottom of the screenshot above.

If the “Returns Policy” page is the correct page you want to use for your site, I recommend deleting the “Return and refund policy” post from your posts page to avoid confusion. You can do this by clicking the three-dot menu on the post and selecting “Trash,” as shown here:

If this isn’t the issue you’re facing, please provide more details about what you’re experiencing and what you expect to see. It may help to take a screenshot of the problem, and if you’re unsure how to do that, you can refer to this support document: https://wordpress.com/support/make-a-screenshot/

You can then add the image to your reply here using the Image Block, and we’ll be glad to take a closer look and assist you further.

    Thank you!

Thank you, I understand now. I will remove the returns post from my blog.
