Members area password-protected without plugin?

    Hi guys! We are a small association and we would like to develop a website ourselves on WordPress.com, because it provides security and integrated hosting and domain name.

    However, we need same post to be seen only by our members. You have the option to password protect posts, by the title and the date when they were post can still be visible by public.

    Is there any way to have member’s area protected by a password, without going to wordpress.org and use a plugin?

    have a second blog that is Members only and set to Private – then you control who gets in – yes that give you two blogs – make the names close to each other – that is the only way to work around the no members plugin
