Members can’t view pictures

  I’m having trouble with new pictures on our family blog. I upload them as usual in the usual cropped size that has always worked before. After posting them, we can see them fine, but none of our members can. They only see a red cross in a square box and if they click on that they get this message:

  — 403: Access Denied —

  This file requires authorization:
  you must both be a user of this blog as well as be currently logged into wordpress.com

  Obviously since this is a private blog, they are properly logged in at the time, so that shouldn’t be an issue. All the previous pictures show up fine, only the pictures we tried posting today won’t show. Hope someone can help! Thank you!

  I’m trying to figure out if my problem is the same or different. I just started a members-only blog for my family.

  The only one who’s tried to access it yet is my dad, who says he can’t see the pictures when he logs in. I can see them, but he can’t. He doesn’t get the red x box, he just sees the title of the picture. I wasn’t linking the pictures, so he doesn’t get the same message.

  I don’t have previous pictures, and I’m new at the members-only blog, so I can’t figure out if it’s WordPress or me.

  Just thought I’d add my situation, and see what happens. Thanks.

  There are a couple of threads on the subject. It looks like WP.com’s servers are having a little trouble with images over the past few days.

  if it’s wp servers currently the issue, maybe hosting the images on a different site might solve the problem, such as flickr or photobucket?

  dcteachingfellow try again – Mark is The Man (see the words “key master” beside his name?- if he says it should be fixed, they’ve been working on it; you should check now and report back. Now is a really good time since he’s on and you can provide feedback for him.

  I still am not able to always see images properly.

  Members only blog, on some computers when logged on I see the image loaded properly, on other computers logged on I only see the image .gif name.
