Members only information

Hello I would like a page that is only accessible to people with a password, or members only information. They would be required to enter a password and user name

The problem with password protected posts and pages is that they are as safe as the people who use them. Meaning, anyone with the password and the direct link would be able to view it.
If you want real control over who has access, start a 2nd blog whose privacy settings are Private and invite those people you want to view the site. You can invite an unlimited number of people to join the site and you can remove them at any time. Those people will, however, have to open a WordPress.com account if they do not already have one in order to access the site.
