Members Only Site

    I need to create members only site, and I see tons of plug ins for this but when I am in my dashboard I do not see anything for plug ins. Is it because I have the free version ? I am sooooooooooooo new to this, dont understand any of it lol If I need to upgrade I can but dont want to do that unless it’s going to solve the problem. Thanks so much

    That’s right — it is not possible to install plugins on a WordPress.com site (free or paid).

    When you want to use a membership plugin (or any other plugin, for that matter), you would need to host your own WordPress site (with software available from http://www.wordpress.org) but of course that takes a bit of work to set up, install and configure.

    However, there’s plenty of friendly people willing to help you out on the WordPress.org forum at https://wordpress.org/support/
