Membership plugin…maybe?

  Hi,

  I know probably the wrong place to be asking but I’ve tried elsewhere and cannot get an answer.

  I am building a wordpress site for a friend and he needs his members to have their own area for viewing and uploading personal data (like a personal document that is for their eyes only, is there a plugin that will allow this?

  There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we bloggers cannot install any plugins.

  There is no upgrade you can purchase that changes anything at all stated here http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ FTP access, and plugins are available only for VIP bloggers http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/ or for those with WordPress.ORG installs.

  On a free hosted WordPress.com blog you can have private posts and pages and password protected posts and pages.

  Thanks for getting back to me. It’s actually a .org site I have.

  But I’ve asked on their forum and got no response to this.
