  Hi everyone!

  I’m hoping to create a website for my extended family with all our family ancestry and history on the website however I would like the website to be membership based to protect our privacy. So to access the information they would have to firstly prove that they are in fact related/relations and then they would be able to create login details to access the information on the site. Does anyone know if I could potentially do this and how to do it?

  Hi there!

  There are a few ways how to create Membership site, the most common way is with the use of Membership plugins. Those, however, would require a Business plan.

  From what you’re saying, I think you could set your site as private and only give access to users you know. Have a look at this tutorial on how to create a membership site without the use of plugins:
