membership site questions and concerns

I am not certain if I need a membership site or a store to host my courses.
At present I only have 2 courses to offer. I would like to know:
    1. What are the step-by-step instructions for setting up a membership site and limiting the number of devices that have access to 2
    2. My 2 courses are only 30 minutes in length. Are there any problems with uploading them to a wordpress site? How do I limit the length of access once they are paid for?
    3. Do you offer telephone support at all?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi –

We do not have phone support. All of the support comes through online channels like this forum, email, or live chat. Free accounts, like this one, get help in the public support forums. That would change if you ever decide to upgrade.

On a free WordPress.com site, folks could follow your site and you could use password protected pages. You’d give them the password to access their page (or course). There wouldn’t be any way to time it out, but you could change the password every so often. This would be the only way to set something up on a free site.

Upgrading to our business plan is going to allow you to integrate plugins on the site. Those would allow you a great deal of customization. I’d suggest looking in to the different plugin options that are available before making your decision. Using WooCommerce is a plugin that would be included with your business plan on WordPress.com.
