Memorialize A Blog
-
While I intend to blog for a long time, the following question comes to mind. Could my blog be memorialized after my death? In other words, could I leave it to someone else or have WordPress put a stop on any future publications.
Facebook has a memorializtion plan. Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Unless you delete your site, your WPcom website is “forever,” so I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “memorialize”.
If you haven’t left someone else your log-in details in case of such an untimely event, here’s what can be done following your demise: https://en.support.wordpress.com/deceased-user/

Only people that have Posting privileges can post to your blog – it’s a good idea to leave login info somewhere so someone can do a bit of housekeeping with the comments – if you set the comments to stop 60 days for instance after a Post is published then after 60 days nobody can leave a comment – that would let whoever you left the blog to – could leave a note about your passing and for comments to appear then close out – after that there is nothing to do to keep the blog alive – WordPress.COM will not close a blog for lack of activity. If you don’t have any upgrades then nobody needs to spend any money

You are welcome – I have helped a few people set up blogs here that had terminal illnesses and they wanted to leave something for their friends and relatives, one was going to be Admin by their dad and their dad was not computer anything – so the 60 days was set up to let people leave final comments then the site would close itself and dad would not need to do anything after 60 days
