    I have deleted hundreds of photos over the last few days from my library but the free memory isn’t increasing. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi there,

    I’ve double checked media storage usage for your site, and what you see in your media library is correct.

    Most of the files you’ve deleted are tiny – file size less than a fifth of a megabyte, so you’ll have to delete hundreds of them to make a meaningful dent in your media storage. You also appear to have uploaded a large number of new media files, so it looks like you’re using up the space again as quickly as you’re freeing it up.

    Keep in mind that every file you remove from the library will also cause that file to disappear from any post or page where you had added it, so unless you’re okay with that, deleting files from the library is not really a solution. Instead you can increase your site storage by upgrading to any of our paid plans.
