Menu

    Hi there
I transferred some pages from another wordpress site – that all seemed to go well. So now I have deleted some pages etc.
Where I have a problem is on the menu (using scratchpad) even though I thought I had set some pages to have a parent – they are not appearing on a drop down box – like my previous theme used to.
Help please it is frustrating as the top menu is too deep.
Also with scratch pad could I have my menu only down the side and not at the top?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

When viewed on my desktop PC, your header menu is displaying drop-down items. For example, the Galleries item has five sub-menu items, or children.

Also with scratch pad could I have my menu only down the side and not at the top?

Yes. To display no header menu, simply create a custom menu, set it as the “Header Menu,” but leave it empty, having no menu items. See the Custom Menus support page.

I forgot to mention that on smaller screens the header menu will change from a horizontal list menu to a vertical menu that’s hidden behind a three-bar icon. The vertical menu displays all menu items, having no drop-down feature.

  • One other factor (in addition to all of the good stuff @musicdoc1 covered) – child pages don’t automatically appear in the menu – but you can add them from My Site > Menus to create the dropdown if you find it is missing :)
