Menu

    Hi there. The three horizontal line ‘menu’ icon to the left of my homepage doesn’t appear to do anything. Clicking on it does not give the readers any options.
    I would like shortcuts to my homepage, ‘about’ page and all of the blog entries to be easy to find – can you assist with this?
    Many thanks, Sandy

    Hi Sandy,

    The three horizontal line ‘menu’ icon to the left of my homepage doesn’t appear to do anything. Clicking on it does not give the readers any options.

    I see what you mean. The slide-out sidebar not working properly on your site. It is working correctly on the Satellite demo, but on your site clicking the icon seems to shift the icon upward, whereupon if I click it again the sidebar opens.

    I’ll call for staff attention, and staff will respond here.

  • Hello there,

    This is definitely a bug with the theme. Specifically, this was happening because the WordPress.com marketing bar, which is applied to sites which are on the free plan.

    Because this is clearly not intended, I’ve added this CSS to the site, to remove the bar entirely :

    /* Fix Marketing Bar bug GH-2716 AL */

    #marketingbar.marketing-bar {
        display: none;
    }

    .admin-bar.has-marketing-bar {
        margin-top: 0px;
    }

    .admin-bar.has-marketing-bar .menu-toggle {
        top: 0px;
    }

    .admin-bar.has-marketing-bar .slide-menu {
        top: 0px;
    }

    I’ve also added this report to the tally so that this can be fixed.

    I hope this helps!

    Let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
