  I am only allowed Home and About Me for Menu options. How do I add categories like Recipes or Fitness when my blog will not let me when I type those names in under categories.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You can add/sort pages, links, and categories under Dashboard->Appearance->Menus. Check out this documentation that includes a video on how to create custom menus: http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
