  Trying to add pages to menu, followed the steps, the area where choices should be (About, Contact me..etc), is blank>there are no options with boxes to check as shown in tutorial.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hey there,

  Pages have to be publicly published to show up in the Custom Menu. I’ve made your “About” page public, and it now shows up in the menu page selector.

  If you’d like your whole blog to be only visible to you while you’re creating it, you can set your “Site Visibility” in the Settings > Reading section of your dashboard to “I would like my site to be private, visible only to users I choose”
