Somehow I have lost the pages….home, about. Where can they be? How can I retrieve (no text) or recreate them? Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This is your homepage: https://letthesewingbegin.wordpress.com/. The absence of a link to it suggests that you’ve replaced the default menu with a custom menu, perhaps an empty one. Also, your “About” page has either been deleted, or the slug changed, because https://letthesewingbegin.wordpress.com/about doesn’t exist. You can easily create a new static page with any name, including “About,” at classic dashboard > Pages > Add New.

Thank you! Indeed the problem must be that I created a custom menu, because the pages were there initially and I haven’t written anything yet (was getting ready to do that when, poof, they were gone). It seems like the about page will be easy, but what about home, where the posts will be? Do I just add a home page and leave it blank except for sidebars?
-
I guess my question re: the home page is how to get the tab back on since it will be a static page. Then my menu will have 2 pages, as in the original template? And I can add more as I want later on?
Thank you again. -
Oh, I had another silly question. Since I’m now writing my about me page (such as it is), will it be published the same as a post? Or does “publish” just mean in this case that it is accepted as part of the blog and will be readable as soon as I publish my first post? Sorry to be so dim.

If you uncheck the “primary menu” box at the bottom of the custom menu the “Home” link will reappear. If you want to display the custom menu, then add a menu item with the navigation label “Home” to your menu structure, and leave it as your primary menu.

If you display the default menu as described above there will be a link to the “About” page whether you have any posts or not, but pages do not display like posts on the blog page.
And can I recreate the home page? Thank you.
It already exists. You just need a link to it. See my previous post.

Oh my goodness, that worked! So now please, I added an about page…how do I get it to appear as a tab at the top next to the home tab?
And thank you! -
