Nevermind! The font change worked.
Once again, it didn’t do it in the preview, but did do it in the live version.
Although I do question: Must I put all those fonts in there like that? I think it’s because not everyone’s computer or program can read those fonts? Am I off base here?

Historically that was the case, but since we’re loading in fonts from Typekit, it’s really just to make sure if one font doesn’t load, the next one in the stack loads instead. It probably doesn’t need to be that long of a font stack, honestly, so feel free to adjust it as you’d like.
In this theme, the sidebar headings matches the top menu navigation color.
Can I change that to make it darker? For instance, I like my header to be the light pink, but would like to make the sidebar headings a darker pink or whatever color.Sure! You can specify widget headers like this:
.wf-active .widget-title, .wf-active .widget-title a { color: #a-darker-pink; }
And just substitute “a darker pink” for whatever color you want to use.

Uh… the menu, how do I put it in the middle as opposed to the top?

Using .main-navigation ul { margin-top: 17px; } should make it about centered :)
