Menu appearance

  Hello, I have started to build my website using the sketch template. Iwould like to display the menu items (various pages of my site) separately instead of displaying just the menu button in the top right corner. So my vistors can see the menu items right away located at the top of my pages instead of having to click on the menu button to reveal the menu items. How can I do that? Thanks so much

  I am interested in this answer too. When I started using Sketch theme (which I love) the menu appeared in full, but now it is just a “button” (which I don’t want. I notice that the blogs featured on the Sketch theme page show the menus in the thumbnails, but all have just the button now.

  So I presume the theme has been changed. Why? Is it possible to have this as an option please? Or revert back to the way it was?

  Sorry, correction. It isn’t the sites using Sketch theme which have the horizontal menu, but the screenshot of the theme at the top of the theme page. But it still shows the theme has been changed.

  I see that you’re presently using the Harmonic theme.

  Regarding the menu appearance on the Sketch theme, please see the following relevant thread Menu Top Bar.

  Also visit the Sketch theme page, here: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/sketch/. Images on that page showing the menu categories, all show a horizontal menu bar, so I don’t why you or vivanttang have/had instead a drop-down bar leading to the horizontal menu.

  On a test blog, with the Sketch theme activated, by default I too had the three bar menu button in the upper right corner.

  Timethief, it WAS and IS Sketch Theme, it just wasn’t the sites using it that showed it but the screen shot. So hopefully my comment and question still belong here.

  Sketch is designed to display the full menu at browser sizes of approximately 1280px wide and above. Below that, the menu is minimized and the icon is displayed instead.

  Ha! That’s excellent. Thank you very much.

  I access the internet sometimes on a laptop and sometimes with a bigger screen, and I’m using my laptop at present, so that explains why it appeared to have changed.
