Menu Bar
-
In my Menu Bar I am trying to create drop down lists. What I want is for someone to be able to look at the menu titled “Books By Age” and then hover or click on that icon and have a drop down list appear of ages. Then the user could click the age range they want and pull up a window of books for that age. Not sure if that makes any sense…?? I want drop down lists off the main menu and am unsure how to create them or if i should pick a different site template? I am happy to buy a template if I need to, to be able to do this, but am unsure which template would be best etc. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Hi Michelle,
How to create a custom menu with age categories:
1. Assign age categories to posts. These may include hyphenated age ranges. Assigning posts to categories automatically generates category pages. See the Category Pages support page for information on these dynamic posts archives pages.2. Create and activate a custom menu, and then add and arrange category menu items as described in the Organize Your Menu section of the Custom Menus support page.
Let us know if you have any further questions.

Completely unnecessary.

Any free theme will have custom menu capabilities, but some may be more suitable than others. Themes which normally display a navigation bar at the bottom of the header image may be best.
